Metal Staircase — Suffolk

The brief

A staircase can be the defining feature of a contemporary home. Our clients wanted a bespoke metal stair that would be both a sculptural focal point and a precise, safe piece of engineering, resolved within the architecture of the house. The brief combined design ambition with the exacting tolerances metalwork demands.

What we designed and made

We designed, fabricated and installed the metal staircase and its detailing, working through the design so that every junction and line resolves cleanly. The stair was fabricated in our workshop to precise tolerances and finished before installation, with timber detailing where warmth and contrast were wanted. Our own team installed the work to protect the finish and the fit.

Materials and craftsmanship

Steel was selected and fabricated for strength and a clean, contemporary line, combined with timber detailing for warmth. Accurate fabrication and careful finishing give the stair both its sculptural quality and its precision.

The result

The finished staircase is a genuine centrepiece — sculptural, precise and beautifully made. It demonstrates the bespoke metalwork and fabrication we can deliver alongside our joinery for homes across Suffolk.
