EV Car Charging Stations
We understand the importance of reducing carbon emissions and supporting electric vehicle (EV) adoption. That’s why we’ve installed five EV car charging stations at our Workshops. These chargers are available for our customers and employees, making it convenient for everyone to choose eco-friendly transportation. By providing this service, we aim to promote sustainable travel options and reduce our overall carbon footprint.

Biomass Wood Heaters
Heating accounts for a significant portion of energy consumption at Reeve & Co. To mitigate this impact, we utilize biomass wood heaters in our operations. These heaters use renewable organic materials, which help lower greenhouse gas emissions and provide efficient heating. Our commitment to using biomass energy not only supports sustainability but also promotes a circular economy.

Certified Timber
We buy certified timber. Our suppliers hold chain-of-custody certification, and where a project specifies certified stock we buy it as certified and pass the supplier’s documentation to you with the delivery.

Sustainable Wood Sourcing
At Reeve & Co Interiors, we take our sourcing seriously. We are committed to sustainable wood sourcing, which involves selecting materials that are harvested with minimal impact on the environment. Our partnerships with suppliers focus on transparency and traceability, ensuring that every piece of wood we use is responsibly sourced, whether it’s reclaimed, recycled, or harvested from sustainable forests.

Water-Based Paints
To further reduce our environmental impact, we exclusively use water-based paints in our projects. Unlike traditional paints that contain harmful solvents and chemicals, water-based options are safer for both the environment and human health. They emit fewer volatile organic compounds (VOCs), making our spaces healthier and contributing to improved air quality.

From our Suffolk workshop we design, make and install sustainable joinery for high-end homes across London, the Home Counties and East Anglia. Every commission is made to measure, drawn in detail and finished to a furniture-quality standard, then installed by our site team.

Sustainability in practice
Our approach is practical. We make to last, we use solar power and we reuse what we can. There are solar panels on our workshop roofs and electric vehicle chargers on site, and waste timber is burned to heat the workshop, so offcuts that cannot be used in joinery do useful work rather than going to landfill.
Well-made joinery is the most sustainable kind. Pieces designed to be repaired, refinished and refitted outlast fashions, and made-to-measure work avoids the waste that comes with forcing standard products to fit.

Can I specify certified timber?
Please tell us at the start. We can discuss timber sourcing and any certification you need for the project, and confirm what is available for the species you want.
Is bespoke joinery more sustainable than fitted-from-stock alternatives?
Made-to-measure joinery fits the building without cutting down or filling in standard units, and well-made timber can be repaired and refinished, which extends its life.
