Holland Street – Residential Joinery, London

The brief

Kensington homes command space at a premium, and our client wanted to draw the very most from theirs without the rooms feeling full. The brief was for fitted wardrobes and storage that would hold a great deal yet read as calm, architectural joinery — clean fronts, fine shadow lines and nothing superfluous. Working alongside the interior designer, we set out to resolve generous internal storage behind beautifully proportioned doors, all tailored to the existing walls, windows and ceiling heights.

What we designed and made

We designed, made and installed floor-to-ceiling fitted wardrobes and a set of complementary storage joinery, each piece scribed precisely to the room. Behind the doors, the internals were planned around the client’s needs — hanging, shelving, drawers and concealed compartments arranged for everyday ease. Fronts were detailed for clean, continuous lines, with handleless or discreet ironmongery to keep the elevations quiet. The whole scheme was drawn in CAD and dry-fitted in our workshop before installation, so the on-site work was precise and the finish protected.

Materials and craftsmanship

The joinery was hand-painted to a fine, durable standard, built on stable, well-made carcasses with soft-close runners and quality hinges throughout. Materials and details were chosen to suit the home and to wear well over years of daily use. Because everything was made and finished in our controlled Suffolk workshop, the pieces arrived in Kensington ready to install cleanly alongside the other trades.

The finished wardrobes give the home a striking amount of well-ordered storage while keeping the rooms feeling spacious and serene.
