Gun storage has been made at Mickfield for years, and quietly became one of the things this workshop is best known for. It has now been given a dedicated team and a site of its own: Sporting Cabinetmakers, covering fitted gun rooms, steel-lined rooms, firearms doors clad to match the joinery around them, bespoke cabinets, ammunition and cartridge storage, and fishing and rod rooms.
The work is architectural joinery with a security specification on top, so it is made on the same benches by the same cabinetmakers. What the separate name buys is a proper conversation about the things that only matter here: what your firearms enquiry officer will accept, how blued steel behaves in a damp room, and how a collection grows.
