Bryn Hall — Our Freestanding Furniture Workshop
Freestanding furniture — tables, chairs, dressers, beds, cabinets — is made on this site under the name Bryn Hall.
Part of the Reeve & Co Group
Fitted work and freestanding furniture are not the same craft, which is the honest reason they carry different names. Fitted joinery is scribed to a building that is never square and has to survive being fixed to a wall that moves. A freestanding piece stands on its own, gets moved, gets lived with, and has to hold up when somebody looks at the back of it. Different jointing, different tolerances, different habits of mind.
Bryn Hall makes the second kind: made to order, any size, in oak, cherry, mahogany or walnut, across ten collections running from Welsh vernacular through Georgian to Gothic. It will also copy or match an antique, which is useful when one good chair needs to become eight.

Which one should you talk to?
If you want a piece — a refectory table, a dresser, a four-poster, a set of chairs — go to Bryn Hall.
If you want an installation — a fitted library, panelling, wardrobes, a staircase — stay here.
A fitted library with a freestanding partners’ desk to match is one conversation across both, in the same timber and the same finish.

Five names, one workshop
Square & True, Bryn Hall, Sporting Cabinetmakers and Fire & Oak are trading names of Reeve & Co Interiors Ltd. Old Fashioned Bathrooms is the bathroom company in the same yard at Mickfield. We keep them separate because someone looking for a kitchen, a dining table, a gun cabinet or an outdoor kitchen is better served by a specialist than by a category page — but the drawings, the bench and the spray shop are the same, so finishes match across whatever you order.

Does Bryn Hall hold furniture in stock?
No. Bryn Hall furniture is made to order, and the ten ranges are starting points that can be adapted in dimension, timber, detail and finish.
Can Bryn Hall match furniture I already own?
Yes. Matching or reproducing existing pieces is a significant part of the work, with timber selected for grain and colour and polish matched by eye.
Can I see timber samples or visit the workshop?
Free timber samples and a printed catalogue are available, and workshop visits can be arranged by appointment.
Send us the drawings, or call the workshop
Architects, designers, contractors and private clients are all welcome. Send your drawings or a brief and we will come back with a clear, honest view of scope, programme and cost.
