This notice explains how Reeve & Co Interiors Limited collects, uses and protects your personal data when you contact us, use this website, or engage us for work.

Who we are

Reeve & Co Interiors Limited (“we”, “us”, “our”) is the data controller responsible for your personal data. We are registered in England and Wales under company number 09593800, with our registered office at Stonham Road, Mickfield, Stowmarket, Suffolk IP14 5LS.

We are registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office under registration number ZC219579. That registration also covers the brands we trade under: Bryn Hall, Square & True and The Sporting Cabinet Maker.

You can contact us about this notice, or about your data, at sales@reeveandco.com or on 01449 710500.

What data we collect

When you contact us through this website, by email or by telephone, we collect what you give us — typically your name, email address, telephone number, the address of the property where the work is to be done, and the details of your enquiry or project.

If we go on to work for you we also hold the records that go with a commission: drawings and specifications, site measurements and photographs, correspondence, quotations, invoices and payment records.

When you browse this website we collect technical and usage data through cookies and analytics — IP address, browser and device type, pages visited and the site or search that brought you here.

How and why we use your data

We use it to answer enquiries, prepare drawings and quotations, carry out and deliver the work, manage our contract with you, keep proper accounting records, and understand how the website is used so that we can improve it.

Our lawful bases are:

  • Performance of a contract, or steps taken at your request before entering one — quoting for, making and delivering your commission.
  • Legitimate interests — running and promoting the business, keeping records of work carried out, and protecting our legal position. We balance this against your rights and do not use your data in ways you would not reasonably expect.
  • Consent — for any marketing email you have asked to receive, and for non-essential cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time.
  • Legal obligation — tax, accounting, health and safety, and building regulations records.

Cookies and analytics

This website uses Google Tag Manager and Google Analytics 4 to count visits and understand which pages are useful. We do not use these to serve advertising, and we do not sell the data.

You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, and you can opt out of Google Analytics using Google’s own browser add-on. Blocking some cookies may affect how parts of this website work.

Who we share your data with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only where it is needed to run the business or to do your work:

  • our website host and email provider;
  • Google, for website analytics;
  • sub-contractors, fitters and suppliers involved in your project, and only what they need to do their part;
  • our accountants and professional advisers;
  • anyone we are required to disclose to by law.

These providers act on our instructions and under written terms that require them to keep your data secure.

Where your data is held

Your data is held in the United Kingdom and the European Economic Area wherever possible. Some of our providers, including Google, may process data outside the UK. Where that happens we rely on the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or the addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, so that your data keeps the protection it has here.

How long we keep your data

  • Enquiries that do not become work — two years from your last contact with us, so that we can pick up a conversation you return to.
  • Project and contract records — six years after the work is completed, which covers the period in which a claim could be brought and our guarantee obligations.
  • Accounting records — six years from the end of the accounting period, as HMRC requires.
  • Website analytics — retained by Google for fourteen months.

After those periods we delete or anonymise the data.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have the right to ask us for a copy of your data; to have inaccurate data corrected; to have data erased; to restrict or object to how we use it; to receive it in a portable form; and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, write to us at the address above or email sales@reeveandco.com. We will answer within one month.

If you are not satisfied with our answer, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk, by telephone on 0303 123 1113, or by post to Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, Cheshire SK9 5AF. We would rather you came to us first so that we can put it right.

We update this notice when the way we handle data changes. The date at the top shows when it was last revised.
