      Most of what we do is bespoke. But some commissions are something else again — a hand-carved Tudor rose ceiling, a barley-twist staircase to a library, a curved drinks cupboard set into oak panelling. The pieces in this gallery are one-offs.

      Send us a sketch, a photograph from a country house, a mood board, or just a description. We’ll come back with a sample, a drawing and a guide price.

      We’ve been hand-making English country furniture for over thirty years. Solid oak, walnut and cherry; mortice-and-tenon, dovetailed drawers, French-polished or wax-finished. Pieces designed to be used hard for fifty years and handed on.

      How long does a piece of bespoke furniture take?

      Most pieces from brief to delivered in 8–14 weeks. Smaller occasional tables and chairs are quicker; full dressing rooms, libraries or four-poster beds with hand-carving take longer.

      Can you match an existing piece?

      Yes. We routinely match dressers, side tables and chairs to existing antiques — copying timber, finish, mouldings and patina. We hand-carve to match too.

      Do you deliver and install across the UK?

      Yes. We deliver and install across the UK and Europe — most weeks we have a van out in London, the Home Counties and East Anglia.

      The majority of our bench time is committed to fitted joinery for clients in London and the Home Counties: libraries that read as part of the architecture, dressing rooms drawn for a real wardrobe, panelled rooms with proper mouldings, studies with hidden technology integrated cleanly into the cabinetry, and staircases that suit the house.

      We work directly with private clients and as part of architect-led or interior-designer-led teams. The workshop can interpret a detailed package or develop the joinery design from an earlier brief.

      Bespoke kitchens are made alongside our principal fitted-joinery work. They are not a catalogue range and not a volume kitchen offer. They suit substantial private homes across Suffolk, Essex, Cambridgeshire and Norfolk where the client wants the same level of design, craft and installation that we bring to fitted joinery.

      That distinction matters. A Reeve & Co kitchen is not sold as a showroom product. It is a room of joinery: cabinetry, drawers, larders, dressers, utility rooms, boot rooms and surrounding fitted furniture considered together.

      Clear drawings, controlled making and careful fitting

      Projects begin with the room and the intended use. From there we produce drawings, agree materials, schedule manufacture and coordinate with the client, architect, designer or main contractor. The joinery is made in Suffolk and installed by people who understand the detail.

      Reeve & Co designs, draws, makes and installs joinery-led interiors for boardrooms, private offices, galleries and front-of-house spaces — commissions where the standard expected is closer to a private residence than a shopfit. Our commercial joinery is made in the same Suffolk workshop, by the same cabinet makers, in the same fine timbers and hand-applied finishes as our residential work.

      For architects, designers and main contractors, that means a single point of responsibility from survey and workshop drawings through manufacture to a clean, exact installation — delivered on programme, with the detail resolved before anything reaches site.

      Whether the brief calls for panelled meeting rooms, reception joinery, libraries or display cabinetry, each piece is drawn in-house and made to the architecture of the building — including period and listed interiors, where new work must sit faultlessly beside old.

      Much of our work is in period and listed buildings, where new joinery must answer the original fabric — mouldings matched, proportions respected, timbers chosen to age well alongside what is already there. The finished work should read as though it has always been part of the house.
